Dennis K. P. Ng received his BSc and MPhil from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and DPhil from the University of Oxford. He became a Research Fellow in Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology before returning to his alma mater in 1994 as a Lecturer in Chemistry. He is presently a Professor at CUHK. His current research interests lie in the chemistry of functional dyes, focusing on their synthesis, bioorthogonal chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and applications in photodynamic therapy, bioimaging, logic devices, and renewable energy production.
