Virginie Lhiaubet-Vallet
Consejo Superior de Investigaciones CientÃficas, VALENCIA, Spain
- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
The main research interests of Virginie Lhiaubet-Vallet belong to the area of chemistry of biomolecules, being at the interface between organic, physical and biological chemistry. Her work deals on the elucidation of photochemical mechanisms, with special attention to the photosensitized reactions of biological components. The research currently developed in the group is focused (i) on the phototoxicity of xenobiotics, (ii) on the photochemistry of DNA lesions and their photorepair, and (iii) on the design of new photoprotection strategies.
